Tom is a self employed boat builder and repairer, a husband and father of one son. He is a graduate of Columbia University. Upon graduation he coached rowing, traveled the world for three years, lived in Hawaii and California, taught from grade school to high school, shaped surfboards, lived on the grounds of a lighthouse and finally returned to coaching and the east Coast where he now lives. Being an older father he went looking for like minded parents and found Naptime Radio. (Not that ANY of the hosts are old!) He also coaches a local DIII rowing program and is an avid waterman. He started writing at age 13, but now in his fifties doesn’t care enough what people think to edit out the good stuff and so is finally happy to share.
Tom also writes for his personal blog, Fathermudgon.
